Description
Achieve tender, caramelized corn with golden kernels and crisp silks using an air fryer. This foolproof method unlocks corn’s natural sweetness with minimal effort, perfect for summer cookouts or quick weeknight sides.
Ingredients
4 ears of fresh corn, husks removed and cleaned
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup melted butter (halal alternative if needed)
1 tablespoon Elote seasoning (or a mix of chili powder, cumin, salt, garlic powder, and lime juice)
Optional: chopped fresh cilantro or chili flakes for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
In a bowl, mix olive oil and Elote seasoning.
Brush the seasoning evenly over the corn kernels.
Place ears in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
Roast for 10 minutes, turning halfway through.
Remove and immediately spread melted butter over the kernels.
Return to the air fryer and cook for 3-4 minutes until silks crisp and butter melts.
Notes
Adjust seasoning amount based on how spicy you prefer.
For a halal-friendly version, use clarified butter (ghee) instead of dairy butter.
Serve immediately while hot to maintain crispness.
Trim excess silk for even cooking.
