Description

Crispy, tender salmon pieces glazed with a sweet-savory teriyaki coating, cooked in an air fryer for a quick, healthy meal. Perfect for busy weeknights or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and cut into 1-inch cubes
¼ cup tamari (halal or low-sodium)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp grated ginger
½ tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp cornstarch (for coating)
1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing, optional)

Instructions

Pat salmon dry and coat lightly with cornstarch.
In a bowl, whisk tamari, rice vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic powder to make the glaze.
Toss salmon with 2–3 tbsp of the glaze to coat.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Place salmon in a single layer and cook for 8 minutes.
Brush with remaining glaze and cook 5–7 minutes until slightly crispy and bubbly.
Let rest 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a halal-certified tamari or substitute with tamari-based glaze.
For extra crispiness, brush glaze twice during cooking.
Add sesame seeds or chopped scallions before serving for garnish.
