Description
Crunchy air-fried shrimp seasoned with paprika and cumin, served in warm tortillas with fresh toppings. A fast, healthy, halal-friendly option for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
Warm corn or flour tortillas
Cabbage slaw (optional)
Avocado
Lime wedges
Pickled jalapeños (optional)
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Sour cream or greek yogurt (optional)
Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
z2. In a bowl, mix paprika, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Toss shrimp in this spice blend until fully coated.
3. Heat olive oil in air fryer basket (optional for extra crispness) and air fry shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes, shaking halfway until golden and opaque.
4. Warm tortillas in air fryer for 2 minutes.
5. Assemble tacos with shrimp, cabbage, avocado, lime, jalapeños, cilantro, and preferred toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast spices in olive oil before tossing with shrimp.
Use halal-certified shrimp if desired.
Tacos can be customized with roasted pineapple or cotija cheese.
Leftover shrimp can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days.
