Description

Crispy, flavorful salt and pepper chicken made in an air fryer for a healthier take on classic takeout. Perfectly golden chicken bites with a satisfying crunch and tender interior.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup cornstarch
Oil spray (vegetable or avocado oil)
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium, if preferred)

Instructions

In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and soy sauce to marinate for 15–20 minutes.
Place cornstarch in a shallow dish. Coat chicken pieces evenly with cornstarch.
Use oil spray to lightly coat the air fryer basket.
Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Notes

Spray chicken lightly with oil before air frying for extra crispiness
Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
