Crispy, handheld pockets of pizza magic baked to golden perfection in your air fryer. Filled with melted mozzarella, zesty tomato sauce, and vegetarian pepperoni, these playful bites deliver a gooey, comforting punch in every mouthful.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetarian tomato sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup vegetarian pepperoni slices (or oven-ready pepperoni)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Gradually add milk to form a dough.
Divide dough into 12 balls. Flatten each into a circle, add 1 tsp tomato sauce, 1 tbsp cheese, and 1 slice pepperoni.
Fold dough over filling and crimp edges to seal. Place in air fryer basket and spray lightly with oil.
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden and puffed. Serve warm.
Notes
Substitute vegetarian pepperoni with mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach.
Uncooked bombs can be frozen (uncooked) for 1 month. Add 2-3 minutes to air fryer time when using frozen bombs.
Use vegan cheese for a dairy-free option.
