Description

Crispy, golden air-fried chicken wings with a sweet and smoky honey BBQ glaze. Perfect for family meals or gatherings, this recipe highlights the air fryer’s ability to deliver restaurant-quality flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs chicken wings
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
2 tbsp water (for glaze)

Instructions

Pat chicken wings dry and cut into drumettes and flats
In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper
Coat wings evenly in the spice mixture
Place wings in air fryer basket without overlapping
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 18 minutes, flipping halfway through
While wings cook, mix honey, BBQ sauce, and water in a small bowl to create a glaze
Once cooked, toss wings in the glaze until evenly coated
Return to air fryer and cook for 3-5 minutes until glaze is caramelized

Notes

For extra crispiness, place wings on a wire rack after coating in spice mix
Substitute cornstarch with 1/4 cup all-purpose flour if needed
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days
Serve with coleslaw for a balanced meal
