Ingredients
4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed and peeled
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup olive oil, divided
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
Cut potatoes into 1/4-inch sticks and soak in cold water for 15 minutes. Pat dry thoroughly
In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder (1/2 tsp), salt, and 2 tbsp of olive oil until a paste forms
Toss potato sticks in the garlic-flour mixture until fully coated
Place in air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping. Cook for 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway
Transfer fries to a bowl. Sprinkle with grated parmesan, remaining 1 tsp garlic powder, and drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil. Toss to coat
Return to air fryer and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy
Notes
Soaking removes excess starch for crispier results
Use vegetarian parmesan if dietary restrictions apply
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days
For oven version: bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes, flipping halfway
