Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1/2 cup lime juice (about 3 limes)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for coating)
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
1 lime, sliced for garnish
Instructions
Whisk chili powder, cumin, garlic, lime juice, honey, oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the marinade.
Place chicken thighs in a large zip-top bag and pour in half the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Toss chicken with flour to coat lightly and arrange in the air fryer basket.
Spray with remaining marinade and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Garnish with cilantro and lime slices before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, refrigerate marinated chicken overnight.
Substitute chicken breasts for a leaner cut.
Brush remaining glaze under the skin halfway through cooking for added moisture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
For gluten-free version, use cornstarch instead of flour.
